A Brief History

Haven of Hope was established in March of 1992 at the old skating rink between Belington and Philippi through a mission of Faith Fellowship Church in Clarskburg, WV. Pastor Quint Pitts served as the founding pastor until 1995. He went on to plant Horizons Church in Lost Creek, WV. He was replaced by Pastor's Bryan and Connie Lamm who served as Senior Pastors at Haven of Hope until 2003 when they assumed the pastorial roles at Living Grace City Church in Clarksburg.

In September 2003 a new era began for Haven of Hope as Youth Pastors/Church Elders Howard and Benita Swick were set in as Senior Pastors. The name also changed from Haven of Hope Church to Haven of Hope Worship Center.

Many people have come and gone, but the Good News of Jesus Christ continues to be practiced. Every Sunday morning ordinary folks, from all walks of life, join together in Praise and Worship. If you don't have a local church to call home then we invite you to visit us at an old skating rink that we call Haven of Hope.
